Albuquerque Visitors Center

A visitor center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has decided to renovate its current facility into something more contemporary. The visitor center has views of 3 mountains in the distance and must provide views to each. In my design, I have carved into the earth and placed a large shade over the top to provide cooling for the users. Next, I added a water element to give the now cool space a desert oasis aspect. Finally, I carved three ramps out of the space and back up to the surface to provide views to the mountains. These ramps are also walkable and set you on a path towards the mountains if the user decides to take a hike. Parking was also added to the right of the oasis space.
