Natural Museum of Texas
Rice University in Houston Texas has proposed that a new museum be built to draw more people from around the state and beyond to come to experience its campus. This design doesn't house paintings or sculptures, rather, it houses the natural landscape of Texas. The user descends through each exhibit, learning about each ecoregion of the Texas landscape, and then has the opportunity to experience that ecoregion before continuing on to the next exhibit. This design consists of a symbiosis of order and organic. Order is illustrated by the three different buildings and the organic is illustrated by the amorphous space frame that interacts with the three buildings.
